The 2019 intending pilgrims from Osun state to Saudi Arabia have been urged to be law abiding and be devoted to the holy assignment.

The State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola gave this admonition at the weekend during the farewell prayers organised for over 670 intending pilgrims from the state.

Oyetola who noted that the pilgrimage exercise is sacred, urged the intending pilgrims to accord the holy assignment the required devotion while in Saudi Arabia.

The governor also urged the pilgrims to pray for the state in the holy land, stressing that the state needed fervent prayers on security, finance and hitch-free governance.

“I urge you all to take the rites of hajj seriously, from your tawwaf to sa’e , your visit to Muna, Muzdalifah , Aarafah and to the Jamra’at . This is the hallmark of  our utmost sacrifice to Allah our creator and in this holy place, please do remember our state , the government and the fellow citizens of Osun in your prayers.”

He said as God has shown mercy and elevated them, they should return renewed and refreshed to make their contributions to taking the state to the next level spiritually, socially and economically.

The governor who stressed that the pilgrimage is the hallmark of the utmost sacrifice to God urged them to remember the state, government and the citizens of Osun in prayers.

While thanking God for the victory at the Supreme Court, Oyetola assured that he will deliver on his campaign promises and make life better for all, in abundance and prosperity.
