The Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Joseph Eribo, has extended warm Easter greetings to residents, particularly the Christian faithful, as they commemorate the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Command, CP Eribo directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and heads of Tactical and Intelligence Units to deploy personnel across strategic locations throughout the state. This, he said, is aimed at preventing any breach of peace during the festivities.
The Commissioner assured residents that the Command has made adequate security arrangements to guarantee the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the celebration.
While appreciating the public for their continued support, CP Eribo urged citizens to remain cooperative with the Police and other security agencies by providing timely and credible information to aid crime prevention and detection.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to the protection of all residents and encouraged everyone to report any suspicious activity. For emergencies, residents are advised to call 08062335577 or visit the nearest police station.
