The Ebira community in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State chapter, has lauded the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for his commitment to good governance, fairness and justice in the state.

Leaders of the group including the Special Assistant to the Governor on Ebira Matters, Mallam Hassan Ahete and the Odeyiani Anebira of Ondo State, Alhaji Dan Musa Zubair, among others who spoke at the 3rd edition of the Annual General Meeting and Totality Summit held at Akure City Hall, Akure, specifically promised to continue to support the governor to ensure more dividends of good governance in the state

This is coming as the community drummed support for the second term re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

The group hinged its decision to back Buhari/Osinbajo for another term in office on Buhari’s anti-graft war in the country.

The group carried placards with various inscriptions such as, “Ebira Community in APC Ondo State supports Buhari/Osinbajo 2019, “Ebira community in APC stands by Buhari/Osinbajo 2019”, among several others.

The group equally commended the governor for opening up access roads across the rural communities which they added will ensure easy movement of farm produce to the markets.

Speaking with journalists, the Odeyiani Anebira of Ondo State, Alhaji Dan Musa Zubair, particularly appreciated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his kind gesture by appointing one of them as his Special Assistant on Ebira Matters and as well assisting their farmers in different ways to boost agriculture in the state.

“We are here to celebrate our son who was appointed SA by the Governor of Ondo State and to also thank the governor for this kind gesture. Also, we are here to declare our support for President Muhammadu Buhari. We commend him for the way he is fighting corruption and recover looted funds.”, he added.

On his part, Mallam Ahete commended the governor for giving him the opportunity to serve in his government, just as he pledged their commitment and loyalty to the present administration in the state to further ensure more dividends of good governance.

“Governor Akeredolu has done a lot of things for Ebira community. He remembered us and we will continue to support his government”, the SA stressed

He asked for more support from the government in the areas of loan facilities to assist their farmers and market women among other supports to enable them contribute more to the social and economic development of the state.

“We also support President Buhari for second term because we like the way he is fighting corruption since he assumed office. So, base on this we express our support for him for another term to enable him fight corruption the more”, he said.

The President, Ebira community in APC, Ondo State, Abdulsalam Dagana, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Tenuche Fatai and Alhaja Bakisu Muhammed lauded governor Akeredolu, saying that the group is satisfied with the way the governor is running the state without any form of discrimination.

Earlier, the Guest Lecturer, Dr. Sodiq Ramadan, advised Ebira people to always behave well  and be good ambassadors of their state.

The 3rd edition of the Annual General Meeting and Totality Summit also witnessed presentation of awards to the deserving members as well as discussion of important issues with a view to moving the community forward.
