Delta State Athletes have shown their superiority at the ongoing sports fiesta as they lead the medals table with 9 Gold medals.
Edo is second with 6 Gold medals while Bayelsa is 3rd on the medals table with 5 gold , 5 silver and 2 bronze.
Meanwhile , Oyo state cyclist, Durogbade Adejoke became the first athlete to win a medal for her state as she came third in the 100m sprint cycling event.
Earlier, Afeez Adegboyega won a bronze medal in the kick boxing event when he stylishly defeated his opponent by split decisions from the judges.
In the boxing event , Benson Adeyinka of Bornu state defeated Ahmed Wasiu of Oyo state 5-3 to advance to the round of 32.
In cricket , Agatha Obulor of Edo state emerged player of the match as Edo defeated Lagos in a six aside cricket match at the Iyoba Center, one of the venues of the event for the National Sports Festival, she made 16 runs off 10 balls.
The six aside cricket match is a street version of the game where rules were relaxed and duration were shorter.
Lagos recorded the first innings, scored 31 runs in 5.0 overs with loss or 2 wickets while Edo scored 32 overs.
