Effect transformational changes in MDAs, workers charged

Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele has stressed the need for civil servants to effect transformational changes in their various Ministries, Departments and Agencies ( MDAs) in order to achieve improved project and process management.

He spoke while declaring open a five -day training which was organised by state government in collaboration with AIG – Imoukhuede Foundation, for selected civil servants with the theme; “project management and process improvement” at the Public Service Training Institute (PSTI), Ilara-Mokin .

According to him, it is important that participants imbibe the culture of discipline of change and ensure the sustainability of positive attitudinal change noting that they will drive the process of transformation that the state public service deserves.

While expressing appreciation to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the state for giving priority to welfare of public servants and also for initiating the training, he called for cooperation and sacrifice of participants to achieve an improved service delivery.

He said that the work force owe the duty to ensure that effect of transformational changes begin with participants, adding they should ensure that all  sectors within the state are touched.

Ogundele who referred to participants as apostles of process improvement of the public service, admonished them to cascade the knowledge gained in their MDAs adding that they should enlighten others on process improvement.

In his goodwill message, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Mr. Bunmi Alade thanked Ogundele for his support, adding that participants must move with the telnet of ODSIP by having a better understanding of the theme for improved service delivery.

Also speaking, Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs Adenike Ogunsola, thanked Governor Akeredolu for putting in place the institute and stressed the need to replicate the training at the local government for sustainability in project management.

Permanent Secretary, Teaching Service Commission, Mrs Tolu Adeyemi commended government for the exercise and implored that officers should partake in the exercise and also cascade it adding that it should be adopted in all personal outfit.
