Eid-el-Fitr: Cleric charges muslims on prayer, teachings of Ramadan

As muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Islamic faithful have been charged not to relent in their prayers for the nation by emulating the teachings of the holy month.

The chief Imam of Ondo kingdom and the grand mufti general of Islamic Affairs, Dr Albulbashir Alimi gave the charge in an interview with The Hope during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration at Ondo central mosque prayer ground Itanla, Ondo city.

Alimi urged muslims to love one another and maintain good relationship with others, noting that Islam is a religion of peace.

The cleric prays for peace and stability, an end to insecurity and banditry, as a new president emerges on May 29.

Also speaking, the Logbosere of Ondo kingdom and the Borokini Adini of Ondo central mosque, Alhaji Abdulrazak Famuditimi also thanked God for the success of the fasting, wishes muslims a happy celebration.

Also, the chief Imam of Alahuwaheed central mosque and the founder of At Tanzil Islamic Foundation, Alhaji Abdulrafiu Ajiboye Lagbaji organised a programme called Tafsir for Muslims in Ondo kingdom in commemoration of Eid-el-fitr 2023.

Lagbaji enjoined muslims abiding by ramadan teachings to fear God and also obey the Quran. 

He further advised them to continue with their good deeds even after the fasting season 

He charged women to respect their husbands and husband to discharge their duties to their families according to Islam.
