By Josephine Oguntoyinbo
As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, they have been urged to imbibe the spirit of love and tolerance, as exemplified in the life of Prophet Mohammed.
Giving the charge in a goodwill message to Muslim brothers and sisters across the state, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, rejoiced with them on the occasion and enjoined them to show love to one another at all times.
While admonishing them to embrace the virtues of love, peace, and forgiveness by rededicating themselves to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity which he described as the essence of existence, Oladiji urged them to always adhere strictly to the teachings and lessons of Islam.
Stressing the need for peaceful coexistence and the promotion of unity during and after the festival, the Speaker also used the occasion to express appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his love for the people and the various landmark achievements the Sunshine State is witnessing under his administration.
Oladiji concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful in Ondo State a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
