Ekiti Amotekun arrests two suspected kidnappers, recovers weapons

The Ekiti State command of the Western Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, has apprehended two suspected kidnappers during a routine operation in Ikere-Ekiti.
According to a statement released by the Head of Communication at the Ikere-Ekiti outpost, Mr. Adewale Adeleye, the suspects, identified as Ballah Ibrahim,50 and Nasiru Abubakar,49, were arrested in a forest along Akure Road, during a “Stop and Search” patrol.
Both suspects are said to hail from Sokoto State.
During the interrogation, the suspects claimed they were on a hunting expedition in a forest around Eporo, Emure-Ekiti.
The operatives recovered various items from the suspects, including three barrel guns, three hunting dogs, a cutlass, two knives, an axe, and charms.
The duo, along with the recovered items, have been handed over to the Police in Ikere-Ekiti for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Amotekun reiterated its commitment to combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents in the state.
