Commercial activities at various banks in Ekiti state on Tuesday resumed after the one week break occasioned by EndSARS protests across the country.
The banks had hurriedly shut down activities last Monday, following the protest which rocks some parts of the state
Some of the banks witnessed large number of customers under canopies waiting to gain entrance into the banking halls.
Similarly, long queues were noticed at some Automated Teller Machines (ATM) waiting to make transactions.
In Ajilosun area of the town, one of the new generation banks located in the area, customers were seen in large number inside the banking hall, while officials were seen attending to them.
Speaking with our correspondent, an official of the bank who did not want his name mentioned in the print, said the large crowd witnessed at the bank was due to the fact that there were no operations for the past one week, which he said was occasioned by the EndDARS protests.
He gave an assurance that the crowd would be reduced as arrangements were in top gear by the bank to attend to the customers.
One of the customers Akinbode Ojo, lamented that he came to the bank as early as 8:30am to make some deposit.
He stressed the need for the banks officials to redouble their efforts.
