Ekiti monarch lauds govt over achievements

The Olukere of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin, has lauded the present administration in the state, over the revamping and rejuvenating the Arts and Cultural heritage of the state.
The Royal father gave the commendation recently in Ado-Ekiti during a courtesy visit to the Council for Arts and Culture, the traditional ruler who expresses gratitude for the supportive role exhibited by the council during the last Olosunta Festival.
Oba Obasoyin solicited for more government assistance as regards the construction of a passage way to the Olosunta edifice in Ikere-Ekiti which according to him was a tourist attraction.
In his response, the Director General of Ekiti State Council for Arts and Culture, Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre thanked the monarch over the visit, he noted that the present administration was favourably disposed to enhancing and repackaging the rich cultural heritage of the state.
He reiterated the readiness of the state to continue in partnering organisations and other relevant agencies in promoting culture and traditions of the state. He said the government will create more employment opportunities in the process.
Ojo Lanre disclosed the uniqueness of Ekiti Cultural festivals as paramount to the development of the state; he explained that all efforts would be intensified towards achieving this goal.
Olosunta Festival is one out of the numerous cultural festivals that is celebrated annually and the festival has the capacity of attracting patronage from home and in the diaspora.
