The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, has welcomed a new State Commandant, Mr. Toma Matthew Enya.

He was posted to the state from the Corps’ National Headquarters by the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Audi  to take over from Commandant Sosina Paul Oluwaseun, who has been redeployed to Jos for a managerial course at the Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies.

The official handover ceremony took place at the State Headquarters along Ikere Road and was attended by officers and personnel from all formations across Ekiti State.

A key highlight of the event was the change of guard ceremony, coordinated by the Command’s Training Department, during which the old flag was lowered and a new flag was hoisted to signify the beginning of the new administration.

In his address, Commandant Enya expressed gratitude to the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed  Audi, for his posting to Ekiti.

He assured that his leadership would build on the achievements of his predecessor while implementing new strategies to enhance crime prevention and security in the state.

He acknowledged Ekiti State as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria, attributing this to the efforts of the state government and various security agencies.

He further assured that the Command would collaborate with peace-loving organizations, individuals, and groups willing to support its mission, particularly in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

This, he emphasized, would ensure that end-users continue to benefit from essential services provided by the government and other service providers in the state.
