He said the notorious criminal popularly known as “Danger,” was arrested by men of the Rapid Response Squad (RSS) attached to the command during a routine operation carried out in Ado-Ekiti.

CP Ogundare noted that since he assumed duties as the helmsman of the police in the state, several criminals have been arrested and currently undergoing prosecution in the courts.

He assured that the police in Ekiti State under his watch would continue to safeguard the lives and property of the people and residents of the state.

On the various roadblocks mounted by the police in the state, the Commissioner revealed that the ban on roadblocks by officers and men of the force in the country still subsists, warning that anyone found culpable, would be punished.

The CP sought the support and cooperation of the media towards ensuring the security of lives and property in the state.

He said,  “Let me reiterate here today that roadblocks in the country have been abolished by the leadership of the force. Anywhere you see a police roadblock, do inform us and the officers will be arrested.”

Ogundare stated that the command under his watch would not allow criminals to turn the state into hideouts, saying all black spots have been identified for adequate policing.
