Ekiti Police hold shooting range exercise tomorrow

The Ekiti State Police Command has announced plans to hold a one-day shooting range exercise on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Abutu Sunday, the exercise will be conducted at the Quarry Site, opposite the Police Headquarters, Old Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, between 6 a.m. and 12 noon.
The Police spokesman urged members of the public, including residents, farmers, and passers-by in the area, not to panic upon hearing gunshots during the exercise.
He further advised people to avoid the vicinity entirely during the exercise to prevent any risk of stray bullets or undue distress.
The statement also conveyed assurances from the state Commissioner of Police, Akinwale Adeniran, who reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state. He called on the public to cooperate with the Police and remain law-abiding.
