Ekiti to partner organisations on education transformation

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has reiterated the readiness of his administration to continue to partner more corporate organizations on the development of education in the state.
He equally promised to partner with other public spirited individuals in the quest to boost the sector.
Governor Fayemi made the assertion in Ijan-Ekiti at the weekend, while commissioning a block of classrooms renovated by a financial institution at St Silas Nursery and Primary School Ijan Ekiti ,a government-owned public school in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
Fayemi who spoke through the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Board ,Professor Femi Akinwumi, said his administration would leave no stone unturned in providing a conducive teaching and learning environment in public schools in the State.
He added that the development of capacity of teachers of public primary and secondary schools in the state was also of paramount importance to his administration.
The Governor who expressed appreciation to the financial institution for the initiative ,urged other corporate organizations in the state and the country to emulate the gesture.
Earlier, the branch controller of the financial institution, Mr Ganiyu Atobatele, said the project was part of the corporate social responsibilities of members of staff of the institution to make positive impact on the lives of people in their working environment.
He solicited the cooperation of staff and students of the school to ensure that newly renovated building was properly maintained at all times .
Responding on behalf of the benefiting Community, the Olowa of Ijan-Ekiti, Chief Ajayi Idowu pledged that the community would continue to ensure the security and proper maintenance of the building and other government infrastructure in the community.
