Ekiti’s 30-year master plan ‘ll drive statewide development—Oyebode

By Precious Owolabi, Ado-Ekiti:

The Ekiti State Government has revealed that it is pursuing sustainable development through a 30-year master plan designed to shape governance and guide growth across all sectors.

Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Mr. Yinka Oyebode, disclosed this during a live broadcast programme “Political Trend” on Progress 100.5 FM, Ado-Ekiti.

According to him, the master plan, which spans from 2020 to 2050, was developed under the immediate past administration, saying that it has been adopted and implemented by the current government, led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Oyebode added that the strategy outlines short-, medium and long-term development goals, ensuring that all projects and policies align with a broader vision for the state’s future.

“He said, everything the administration is doing is in alignment with the 30-year master plan.”

“Even the six pillars of this administration are drawn from that master plan. It defines the programmes, policies and projects we’re executing today.”

“The six pillars form the backbone of Governor Oyebanji’s four-year term, reflecting a governance style that is intentional, structured and strategic.

“Everything is planned, and everything is executed with precision.

“There is always a grand design behind every action”, he added.

Expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyebode commended the President’s support for Ekiti State and praised his bold leadership decisions.

“I want to thank Mr. President for his support to Ekiti State. I wish him continued success in the remainder of his term and possibly in a second term as well.”

He also extended appreciation to the people of Ekiti State for their steadfast support for Governor Oyebanji’s administration, noting that widespread community engagement and public endorsement have been instrumental to the success of ongoing initiatives.

Oyebode further highlighted the vibrant democratic culture in Ekiti, where citizens actively participate in governance by offering suggestions and holding leaders accountable even on issues as localised as primary schools in remote areas.

“That is the beauty of democracy in Ekiti State,” he said. “Together, we will make Ekiti a destination of choice for living, working, relaxing and investing.”
