The State Coordinator of the scheme in the state, Mrs Emmanuella Okpongete made the disclosure in an address she delivered during the official closing ceremony of the 2019 Batch A corps members deployed to the state.
The Ekiti NYSC helmsman said the move is part of the promise made by the present administration in the state to turn the camp into a beffiting one and compete favourably with others in the Southern states.
Okpongete, while thanking the Ekiti state government over the gesture, explained that members of the NYSC will continue to support and contribute to the development of the state.
She equally appealed to the people of the state, especially the employers for the payment of state allowance to all the corps members that would be deployed to various parts of the state.
While congratulating the corps members, she urged them to pay much attention to development of their immediate environment and imbibe the spirit of oneness, leadership qualities and skills in their various places of primary assignment.
Earlier in his speech at the occasion, the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, congratulated the corps members for the successful completion of the three weeks orientation scheme.
Fayemi represented by his deputy, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, said the NYSC scheme has been a potent instrument of achieving unity and integration
The Ekiti State Governor later used the occasion to commission a building built for the scheme by the management of the NYSC at the orientation camp.
