Election: Ondo FA inaugurates appeal committee

Ahead of fresh Elections into the board of the Ondo State Football Association a five-man electoral committee has been inaugurated in Akure.

While performing the function, the Ondo State FA Vice Chairman, Pastor Henry Akingboju, who was represented the Chairman, Otunba Dele Ajayi said the inauguration was done in line with  Article 30 of the Statute which indicates that the State Executive Committee shall draw up a guideline for fresh election.

Barrister Tolu Abisagbo was named the Chairman of the committee with Mrs Joke Orimaye  who was also named as the Vice Chairman while other members include Mr Ademujimi Tope, Chief Olakiigbe Gabriel and Mr Babatunde John Akinbinu.

Also inaugurated was the Electoral Appeal Committee which named Barrister Olusola Oke as the Chairman while Chief Babatunde Fagite and Mr Tope Olokungboye complete the list as members.

Speaking during the acceptance speech, Chairman of the  Committee Barrister Tolu Abisagbo said the committee will organize a free, fair and credible election, saying it was an honour for the members to be selected to carry out such an important task.

According to the notice also made available to the Nigeria Football Federation by the board, the Election to determine new executive board members of Ondo FA will hold on Tuesday February 5, 2019 in Akure.
