Creativity is the fundamental resources that an entrepreneur must imbibe in his/her thinking.  It is the ability to generate, develop, and express original ideas or concepts. It involves discerning in novel ways, making connections between seemingly unrelated elements, and coming up with innovative solutions to problems. Creativity can be applied across various domains, including art, science, businesses, and everyday life. It often involves a combination of imagination, insight, and critical thinking.

The key components of creativity include:

–              Originality:   Producing ideas that are unique and different from what has been done before.

–              Fluency: Generating a large number of ideas or solutions.

–              Flexibility: Being able to see different perspectives and approaches to a problem.

–              Elaboration:        Expanding on ideas and adding details to improve or refine them.

–              Problem-Solving: Finding innovative solutions to challenges and obstacles.

Creativity is often seen as a valuable skill in various fields, as it can lead to breakthroughs, innovation, and progress.

The extensive discussion with Engr. Ajala went further to defined the distribution transformer, presumed dead transformers, and its challenges.    Distribution Transformer is a type of electrical transformer used to step down the voltage from high voltage transmission lines to a lower voltage level suitable for use in homes and businesses. It plays a critical role in the electrical power distribution, transmission and generation system by enabling the efficient and safe delivery of electricity from the power grid to the end users.

Key Features of Distribution Transformers

–              Voltage Transformation: is of two types;

The Primary Voltage, this is the higher voltage input from the transmission lines, typically ranging from 2.4 kV to 34.5 kV, while the Secondary Voltage; is the lower voltage output suitable for consumer use, commonly ranging from 120/240V in residential areas to higher voltages like 480V for industrial applications.

–  The Design:

The transformers have Core which ismade of laminated silicon steel to reduce energylosses, also,

Windings usually copper or aluminum windings are used to conduct the electricity and

The Cooling Systems, either air-cooled or oil-cooled, the Oil-filled transformers use insulating oil to dissipate heat.

There are different types of Distribution Transformers, they are:

–              Pole-mounted: Installed on utility poles for urban and suburban areas.

–              Pad/Plinth-mounted: Installed on concrete pads/plinth at ground level, often found in residential neighborhoods and commercial complexes. And

–              Underground: this is designed for underground electrical distribution systems, providing power in areas where overhead lines are impractical.

Embarking on this type of entrepreneurship has great positive impact on our State IGR, boost both youth empowerment and State Economy with the cash inflows from other States ……..To be continued.

‘Always think of entrepreneurship as it is the right solution now to our economic development’.
