The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has sent his heartfelt congratulations to Hajia Binta Mora Abubakar on her appointment as the General Manager of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Harmony FM, Idofian.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, who expressed confidence in her ability to lead the Radio Station to recording more achievements, stated this in a statement issued at the by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona.

The Emir thanked the outgoing General Manager, Mr. Wahab Akoshile, for the support given to all palace activities during his tenure and wished him success in his new assignments.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, however, congratulated the entire members of the Kwara State chapters of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) for the honour brought to the unions by Hajia Mora for being a diligent and hardworking media practitioner.

The monarch appealed to stakeholders in the society as well as staff of FRCN Harmony FM Idofian to co operate with the new GM in her mandate of promoting Harmony through broadcasting in Kwara State and beyond.

Meanwhile, Hajia Binta Abubakar-Mora has assumed office as the General Manager of Radio Nigeria – Harmony FM, Idofian Kwara State.

Prior to her assumption, Hajia Abubakar-Mora, a professional broadcaster, was the Head of Programmes Department of Harmony FM.

She is also the present Vice Chairperson, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kwara State Council and had served as a two term Chairperson, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Kwara State.

In an acceptance speech, Hajia Abubakar-Mora gave glory to Almighty Allah for the elevation and pledged to build on the legacies of past administrations.
