The funeral ceremony of wife of Afenifere chieftain, late Chief ( Mrs ) Elizabeth Oluwakemi Arogbofa, began yesterday with a commendation service held at The African Church, Ondo Central Missionary Diocese, Ebenezer Cathedral, Amudipe Street, Akure with many dignitaries including Ondo State Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in attendance.
Elizabeth Arogbofa who passed on Saturday, June 18, 2023 at the age of 75, was the wife of Afenifere chieftain, Pa Sehinde Arogbofa.
The Acting Governor said Mama Arogbofa lived a remarkable and impactful life.
He said the deceased was a woman of purpose, a wife, mother, humanist and unapologetic lover of God.
At the service, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt.Rev. D.O Akinremi described the deceased as a woman who lived her best, deserving her rest.
“We are celebrating the life of a fulfilled woman, a true icon who was effortlessly good as she lived a virtuous life,” he said.
He admonished the children on the need to let the good works of their mother show in their character.
Others at the service are the deceased’s children, clergymen, Afenifere members, ANCOPS members, Government functionaries, family members, friends and others.
