Encourage children participation in Sports, Fasoranti urges parents

Chairman Board of Governor, Omolere /Nursery and Primary School, Pa Reuben Fasoranti has advised parents to encourage their children to participate in Sports activities of their choice.

He stated this during the 53rd Annual Inter- House Sports Competition of the school.

He urged the outstanding Students to keep pushing forward saying sports and education are a Siamese twins that cannot be separated.

“They should keep doing better in both their education and sports of their choice”.

The Headmistress of the School, Mrs Adeleye Josephine described the event as wonderful, adding that parents should support their kids in any sports.

She said, Sports have become money making venture and it’s now easy to be a sports person and still do well academically.

Chairman of the event, Mr Fatukasi Olamide enjoined the winners to be magnanimous in victory and urged the losers to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship.

He added that competition should not be seen as win at all cost.

Meanwhile Green House emerged overall winner of the event with 167 points while Blue House came second with 141 points, Yellow House got 139 points to came 3rd, Red House also garnered  135 points to came 4th in the event.

Mount Olives Nursery and Primary School came first in the school invitation relay (Girls) while ECWA Nursery and Primary School emerged first in the Boys invitation relay.
