By Michael Ofulue, Osogbo
As the nationwide hunger protest enters its second day, residents of Osun State, predominantly youths, continued their demonstration in Osogbo, the state capital, on Friday, demanding the reinstatement of the fuel subsidy and an end to the devaluation of the naira.
The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest began in the state on Thursday.
During Friday’s procession, the protesters, who gathered at Freedom Park, Osogbo, were accompanied by police officers, members of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, and operatives of the Department of State Security.

Marching through MDS Road to Olaiya Junction before heading to Odi-Olowo Street, Osogbo, the protesters accused the federal and state governments of causing hardship for Nigerians, insisting that the protest would continue until their demands were met.
Upon returning to Olaiya Junction, the protesters performed ablution and observed Jumu’ah prayers on the road, with security personnel providing protection during the prayers.
Following the prayers, led by one of the protesters, the participants dispersed.
