The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Okitipupa chapter, Mr. Bode Ikulala has welcomed the former Caretaker chairman of Okitipupa local government Mr. Wale Ogunmade to the party.
Ogunmade who quitted the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was received at a meeting held at Ode Aye in Okitipupa local Government of the state.
Applauding the positive move of Ogunmade to APC, Ikulala described him as an illustrious son of the land that deserved all the honors showered on him.
He equally disclosed that the one-time local Government Chairman had left an enviable record as the number one citizen of the local government during his time.
Earlier, Ogunmade thanked the Chairman and his team for coming down to his residence despite his initial move to visit the chairman at home which the chairman turned down.
The grassroot politician said despite his sabbatical in politics for some time, he saw the need in joining the progressive family to actualize the dream of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the country in the coming 2023 general elections.
He said: “Tinubu’s political sagacity and experience are second to none,” “I want to be part of the new Nigeria and I am more than ready to give all it takes to support the project,” Ogunmade promised.
He disclosed that he is joining the party not because he wants personal profit, but to add value to the progressive movement in the local government.
