A former member of Ondo Assembly, Tomide Akinribido, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).

Akinribido, in a letter to the PDP Chairman in Ward Seven, Ondo West Local Government dated February 9, 2024, announced his decision to resign from the party.

Akinribido said he would officially register as a member of the APC on Monday February 12, 2024.

He said the ceremony would take place at the Ondo West APC secretariat.

Akinribido was first elected to the Ondo Assembly in 2019 to represent Ondo West 1 constituency on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party.

He left the ZLP ahead of the 2023 general election and defected to the PDP.

Akinribido secured the PDP ticket but was defeated.
