Text: James 1verse 27

“ Pure religion and undefiled before GOD and the father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictions, and to keep himself unspotted from the world”.

In the Bible, we can see in several passages particularly the Gospels that Jesus Christ was moved with compassion as He ministered to the people! Apart from the truth and fact that Jesus Christ is the real expression of GOD’s love to humanity, we are made to understand that the one incontrovertible definition of GOD Himself is succinctly but profoundly stated in 1John 4 verse 8: “…….GOD is LOVE”.

Jesus came to reconcile the fallen man to GOD in HIS death and resurrection through His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. That settles the salvation of man and woman who would believe in Him in HIS good news!

Also, Jesus practically demonstrated His ministry on earth by reaching out to people! In Acts 10v38, we read :  ” How GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for GOD was with Him”.

Jesus Christ is the practical expression of GOD who is defined as Love! For as many human beings  there are  on  earth, so are there many perspectives of love! However,  the Bible presentation of GOD as Love, has settled it all! Praise GOD!

Christianity goes beyond religion to the pragmatic affirmation and demonstration of the Love of GOD both to friends and foes alike! But although difficult, humanly speaking, with the help and anointing of the Holy Spirit, we can do all things, we can express GOD to humanity through love!

Friends, Love is the solution to the dilemma of the world!

Love is a winner anytime!

GOD, in HIS infinite mercies and unfathomable wisdom knows that the survival of man is HIMSELF whose description and prescription is LOVE!

This teaches us that as we express love, we are invoking GOD into the situation!

The ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ as enunciated in Acts 10 verse 38, makes us to understand, first, that Jesus was anointed by the Father with the Holy Ghost and power, and the anointing He received gave Him an enablement and the impetus – the strength , the zeal and the energy, the power and the wisdom- to do good and set the captives free.

This teaches us that we cannot do any good without being anointed of GOD with the Holy Spirit!.

Compassionate Christ Foundation is not just about philanthropy, it has been commissioned by GOD with Holy Ghost anointing to express genuine pure love to GOD ‘s people!

When you demonstrate Love, you are expressing GOD to the people!

When you demonstrate Love, you are giving healing to the people of GOD both physically and emotionally!

When you demonstrate Love you give joy to the people!

When you demonstrate Love, you are introducing GOD ‘s Kingdom Culture to the world!

It is a great privilege to give GOD and HIS kingdom culture to the people!

It is a great privilege that the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost of GOD’s KINGDOM CULTURE is dished out to widows, widowers, the elderly, the orphans and the less privileged around us wherever the souls of our feet step on.

For almost twenty years standing, we have been on this assignment and GOD has glorified Himself! We do this, as we preach the Gospel, by gathering the beneficiaries together and minister to them, give them materials like foodstuffs, carry out free medical mission, and support the education of their children. We have customized exercise books tagged Education Support project for junior secondary school students which we distribute free of charge!

It has also been a great honour to visit Elmcor Senior Services Centtre at East Elmhurst, Astoria Blvd, NYC, U.S.A to do a presentation on ‘Laughter’ and ‘Forgiveness’  in 2017 and 2018 respectively to put smiles on the faces of the senior citizens of the center under a relaxed atmosphere! One could sense some emotional healings on the senior citizens after each presentations from their contributions and questions during interactions!

About five years ago, we were at Irese, a suburb of Akure in Ondo State, Nigeria! When we met the king (regent) of the town, she lamented how ‘an evangelist so to say, came around and dwindled the people of their money, claiming he would do miracle anointing oil for them! The king said since then they have resolved not to welcome any ‘ evangelist again! Our eyes were filled with tears as we apologised on behalf of the ‘evangelist! We then explained our mission which they now accepted to welcome!

By the grace of GOD, we held a crusade in the town with the king and nearly all the chiefs in attendance! We presented the Gospel to them, gathered the widows and gave them material items. The town was agog with joy!

Glory to GOD for the manifestations of HIS LOVE!

Friends, GOD is Love and HE is ever ready to accept you if you would surrender to HIS love, by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour! No matter how  far you have gone into sin, or you have backslided,  HE loves you. Repent and forsake your sins and confess Jesus as your Saviour!
