Farmer, one other docked for burglary

A 45-year-old man, Henry Nwoke, has appeared before an Akure Magistrates’ Court for allegedly shop breaking and theft.
Nwoke, a father of four and farmer, was arraigned alongside his accomplice, one Clement Okori by men of the Ondo State Security Outfit codenamed Amotekun on four count of conspiracy, stealing, burglary and aiding and abetting
It was gathered that Henry committed the crime at about 1:00pm on September 3, 2022 at Ijoka Akure.
The state counsel , O.F. Akeredolu told the court that Henry and others at large broke and entered into the shop of one Folake Akomolafe in the midnight and stole five bundles of iron roofing sheets valued at N159,000.
Akeredolu also alleged the second defendant, Clement at tipper garage, Akure, for aiding and abetting the first defendant to commit the stealing.
He sought for an adjournment to enable him study the case file.
The offence contravene Sections 516(A), 413(1), and 390 of the Criminal Code Law of Ondo State, 2006
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge
Lawyer to the defendant, O. Bernard did not oppose the prosecutor’s application. But he prayed the court to grant his client bail on most liberal terms
The presiding Magistrate, D. Sekoni granted the defendants of N300,000 with one surety in like sum.
Sekoni adjourned the case till November 26, 2022 for hearing
