Father, son docked for raping 14-yr-old

A 62-year-old man, David Ogungbemi and his son, Idowu Ogungbemi, have been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.

It was gathered that the rape victim was living with one Esther Ogungbemi, her father’s sister in Ilare, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

The Hope Metro learnt that Esther Ogungbemi, is married to the first accused, David and mother to the second accused.

The duo were alleged to have defiled the girl and had intercourse with her forcefully.

It was gathered that the girl became pregnant thereafter, which propelled her father to report to the police.

The police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, saying they have been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

She said the Commissioner of Police had ordered investigation into the matter, assuring that justice would be done.
