The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi  on Thursday said the best way to save the state from impending sufferings is to ensure  that President Muhammadu Buhari wins the February 16 presidential poll.

She warned that Ekiti State would  be subjected to all forms of ridicule before getting what is due for it in Abuja, if the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar triumphs in the February 16 election.

The first lady, who  spoke in Itapa-Ekiti, while leading a campaign team to mobilize women for the return of President Buhari across the state, warned that the spate of development would  be hindered tremendously if Ekiti operates as an opposition state with the PDP controlling the federal.

Mrs Fayemi explained that  the series of projects that were promised for Ekiti,  like the rail line and the ongoing federal secretariat, federal housing estate and others would be stalled  if Buhari loses.

According to her, “Since your  governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi came on board, he had established good relationship with the Federal Government and we have started seeing the gains.

” Since Fayemi came on board, salaries and pensions have been regular. He now pays on monthly basis unlike when workers were owed for ten months .

“Do you want to vote for a party that won’t release your federal allocations as and when due? Do you want Mr. governor to be going to Abuja and beging  before getting your allocations?

” If you don’t want all these to happen, then vote Buhari/Osinbajo next Saturday”.

Addressing women in Ilupeju-Ekiti, Oye local government, Mrs. Fayemi bemoaned the high incidences of void votes in Ekiti State ,  urging  women to embrace the ongoing voter education by the All Progressives Congress  (APC) and other non Governmental  Organisations to be properly guided on how to vote rightly.

” Void votes are high in Ekiti and it is common among our elderly women. Our party has begun massive campaign to guide you aright”.
