Feb 2022 national convention, a done deal – Ondo APC

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, has said that the approval of February 2022 for the conduct of the national convention of the party by President Muhammadu Buhari was a done deal.
It also noted that the February 2023 slated for general elections, which will be a year after the convention was not a fear.
The State Director, Media and Publicity of the party, Mr. Steve Otaloro, stated this in an interview with The Hope yesterday.
Otaloro who explained that the national convention has officially approved to elect regional and national officials of the party, adding that it was now the responsibility of the national body to come out with the specific date for the conduct of the convention.
He maintained that after the convention the party will have substantial national body to prepare ahead of the general elections including by-elections next year.
While commending the Yobe State Governor and Chairman Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the APC, Mai Mala-Buni for done more than a enough by holding the party together, Otaloro said the convention will be successful.
He said the APC under the leadership of Ade Adetimehin will start having stakeholders’ meeting of every member of the party to prepare for whichever mode to be adopted for the national convention.
He urged the party to be strategic in electing competent hands into positions at the national level.
“In Ondo State, we are one. There won’t be any issue because we don’t have anyone going for the position of national chairman.
“Whatever position given to us will be accepted and give our support to whoever aspire for positions” he said
