Federal Fire Service operational in Ore – Odigbo LG boss

By Kayode Afolabi,Ore

The Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Adegoroye Taiwo, has announced that the Federal Fire Service has commenced operations in the council area.

He disclosed  this announcement during a meeting with stakeholders in Ore over the weekend.

Adegoroye described the initiative as a strategic and much-needed development, highlighting the tragic loss of lives and property experienced in the area over the years.

“The Federal Fire Service is now stationed at the Ore Toll Gate, a location secured by the local government for their operations,” he said.

He emphasised that the presence of the Federal Fire Service, working alongside the State Fire Service, will significantly strengthen the community’s emergency response and greatly reduce the impact of future disasters. Adegoroye, however, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Special Adviser on Special Duties and Union Matters, Hon. Bola Taiwo, and Hon. Amidu Takuro for their commendable financial contributions toward the successful establishment of the fire service station.

“Your support played a crucial role in ensuring the realisation of this project, which will serve the safety and well-being of Odigbo residents.

“Your acts of selfless service will be long remembered and deeply valued by the community,” he said.
