By Akinnodi Francis, Ondo

The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji (FEDPOLEL) has appointed Mr Sehinde Ebenezer Olabode and Mrs Rachael Fasa Aladeniyi as the institution’s new Bursar and Librarian, respectively.

A statement issued by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, Information, Protocol and Passages Division, Adebiyi Oluyemi, confirmed the appointments, stating: “The duo emerged as new principal officers of the decade-old institution after a rigorous computer-based test and a grueling interview session with the selection board, comprising the Chairman and other external members of the Governing Council, representatives of the Academic Board, and members of the Congregation.

“Also included in the selection board were two representatives of the Head of Service and two from the Federal Character Commission.”

Olabode, who previously served as Chief Accountant in the Bursary Department of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

With over three decades of experience across various divisions of the Bursary, he has demonstrated expertise in financial administration. He has delivered several papers at seminars and workshops and has participated in numerous high-profile conferences.

Aladeniyi, the newly appointed Librarian, was the immediate past Polytechnic Librarian of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPOLY), Owo, Ondo State.

A seasoned academic, she has presented research at scholarly conferences and has published extensively in both local and international academic journals. She also played a pivotal role in securing full accreditation for all programmes presented during RUGIPOLY’s last accreditation exercise, conducted by the National Board for Technical Education.
