Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Ondo state Publicity Secretary, Hon Peretei Ikantu Kenedy has said that the decamping of Mr Femi Fani-Kayode to All Progressives Congress(APC) makes no dent on the Party.
He made this known in an interview with The Hope, saying Fani Kayode leaving PDP is a plus for the party.
While describing Fani Kayode as an unstable character, he said his joining the APC is already unsettling the party as many people in APC are saying they do not want a loquacious person like him.
“But a lot of credible people are joining the PDP too ,like a former senator, Shehu Sanni,I cannot begin to balance Fani Kayode with Sanni because they don’t belong together” he said.
Peretei while speaking on the issue of the Party’s National Chairmanship and people castigating the Governor of Rivers state,Mr Nyesom and calling him ‘Lord of the manor for his actions, he said these were the creation of the media,as politics is about interest.
He said there is nothing wrong in someone pushing for what he believes in.
” People that are castigating Nyesom Wike now were the same people who celebrated him when he brought Secondus from nowhere,Secondus was not in the calculation during the National convention,it was almost agreed that the South West will produce the next National Chairman.
” But from the blues, he had an alliance with someone from that side who said he did not want National Chairmanship. Prof Adeniran who was contesting from Ekiti,he said no,he did not want him and somehow the National Chairmanship was gotten by Secondus” .
” So politics is about interest,so those who brought him,if their interest do not tally and there are divergent views, then so be it,so the issue is not a problem at all” Peretei said.
