FG unveils new agricultural mechanisation programme, urges Nigerians to apply

The Federal Government, through the Bank of Agriculture has called for applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme.

RHAMP, unveiled in collaboration with Heifer Nigeria, aims to bolster Nigeria’s food security by empowering a new generation of mechanisation service providers, with a special focus on women, youth, and mechanisation companies.

The application is free and currently ongoing, according to a flyer posted by Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, on Thursday.

Interested individuals are encouraged to apply via the official website at https://boanig.com before a strict deadline of November 10, 2025.

The initiative offers access to affordable tractors and implements, supported by a comprehensive 3-year servicing plan at verified service centres or mobile hubs.

Applicants can benefit from flexible repayment options linked to usage and income generation, as well as program benefits including technical support and digital tracking via IoT technology.

Applications are open to women and youth agripreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35, as well as mechanisation companies looking to expand their fleet.

RHAMP features competitive terms such as 3-5 year lease options, 15 per cent interest rates, 25 per cent down payment and special conditions tailored for women and youth.

The programme represents a significant step towards modernising Nigeria’s agricultural systems and enhancing rural livelihoods.

Recall that in June, President Bola Tinubu unveiled the distribution of 2,000 tractors and thousands of farming implements under the RHAMP.

Speaking during the unveiling, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises and building a sustainable agricultural future for the country.

“Today, we take a monumental leap forward with the introduction of the state-of-the-art tractors through our new agricultural mechanisation programme. We are very proud of what we are doing,” the President declared.

He noted that the first phase of the initiative includes the deployment of over 2,000 advanced tractors, 50 industrial-grade land preparation bulldozers, 12 fully equipped mobile workshops, and over 8,000 specialised farming implements
