FIFA-licensed agent, Lanre Moyero has stated that his mission is to continue developing grassroots football players for the international market.

He affirmed that there is an abundance of budding talent in Ondo State and its environs, noting that he will delve deep into the grassroots to discover and develop players across the 18 local government areas and beyond.

The Chairman of Moyero Football Club, disclosed this at the end of a two-day scouting programme held at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

He added that the annual scouting programme aims to promote talented footballers to the international market.

According to him, “The purpose of the scouting programme is to build players from the grassroots and promote them in the international market.

“The arrival of the Sunshine Stars Football Club youth team changed the atmosphere of the event, as we were able to see valuable and marketable players among them.

“These players displayed readiness, and they are truly marketable on the international stage, along with some other talented players we discovered from other teams.

“We were able to select 14 players out of about 118 participants in the scouting event.

“The players I discovered from the Sunshine Stars youth team are enough for me to start working with in the international market.

“I will be leaving the country next week to meet with my foreign partners, who will arrive in Nigeria to assess the selected players themselves.

“I have been communicating with them while we worked on the field, discussing the players we discovered,” he said.
