Centre for Peace and Self Value Reorientation, has applauded the Ondo State Treasury House for its transparency, describing it as the best among the financial institutions in the south-west of Nigeria.

 Executive Director of the Centre, Comrade Abubakar Oyibo gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the office of the state’s Accountant-General in Akure, the state capital.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Press Officer to the state Ministry of Finance, Mrs Itunu Lijofi and made available to The Hope in Akure.

Oyibo who led the team described the Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, Mr. Laolu Akindolire as a man who has  distinguished himself among his colleagues, a silent and great achiever, an icon of peace, and a generational change maker.

He said that the role of Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary is centered on delivering effective and sound economic and financial development policies which has brought transparency, accountability for rapid socio economic development to the people and the state in particular.

“You have not made a mistake in accepting the responsibilities as the Accountant-General of the state by guiding the policies of the system aright and building on the federal and state governments’ agenda for a corrupt free society that brings economic development and social justice to the citizenry”, he said.

Oyibo admonished Akindolire to ensure obedience to the rule of  law and prudent management of the treasury for the enhancement of the economic and social welfare of the citizenry.

He stated that  the state treasury house under the stewardship of Akindolire performed excellently well in ten sectors in the assessment exercise conducted, which identified him as an outstanding leader .

In his acceptance speech, Akindolire appreciated the Organisation for the honour done on him and the state at large.

While affirming his support to the organisation, Akindolire noted that the country would have been a  better place if people can change their orientation and be contented with what they have.

The Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary was inducted as the Service Ambassador and also presented a Certificate of Integrity Stewardship.

In his remarks, the Director, Central Pay Office. Mr. Ayodele Ojo, thanked the team and described Akindolire as a man of peace and intelligence.
