Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, OON, will officially flag off the FREE to SHINE campaign and the Triple Elimination Initiative targeting HIV/AIDS, syphilis, and hepatitis among women of reproductive age in Ondo State.

According to a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye, the two-day event is scheduled to hold on April 17 and 18 (Thursday and Friday) at the International Culture and Events Centre, (The Dome), Akure.

The campaign also aims to eliminate mother-to-child transmission and support the treatment of Nigerian children born with HIV/AIDS.

Highlighting the importance of maternal healthcare, the statement added that the event will also feature the distribution of 10,000 professional kits comprising Crocs and scrubs to midwives, as part of the broader FREE to SHINE initiative.
