Fiwasaye Old Students hail Akeredolu

Fiwasaye Old Girls’ Association (FOGA), has applauded the Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his swift interventions in critical sectors of the economy in the state.

The delegation of Fiwasaye Old Girls gave the commendation in Akure, the Ondo state capital, during its courtesy call on the governor in his office.

Leader of the delegation, Mrs. Yemisi Marcus, specifically commended the governor for his unwavering commitment to the development of the state particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, road construction, industrial development, security of lives and property of the citizenry and several others.

She noted that the quick intervention of the present administration has positively changed the face of Ondo State and made it industrial hub.

“We saw the flyover at Ore and we know you are doing a great work. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen you and take you to higher height,” she prayed.

Mrs Marcus revealed that they were in the Governor’s Office to appreciate him for what his government is doing to develop the state and to also inform him about the 60th anniversary of Fiwasaye Girls’ Grammar School coming up in January next year.

The team also used the visit to solicit the support of the governor in the area of construction of road network within the school to further give infrastructural development of the school a facelift

The leader of the delegation also noted that the Old Girls have been contributing immensely to the development of the school in terms of provision of infrastructure for the comfort of the students and staff, adding that some buildings have been renovated by the association.

Welcoming the delegation, governor Akeredolu thanked them for appreciating what his administration was doing in critical sectors including education, healthcare, infrastructure, industrialisation among others in the state.

Akeredolu assured the delegation of his administration’s support where necessary to further improve the infrastructure in the school.

He commended the old girls for their commitment to their Alma mater, promising the government’s readiness to partner them for further development.
