Expressing condolences and congratulations simultaneously, the lawmakers commended Governor Aiyedatiwa on assuming the gubernatorial mantle while mourning the loss of a leader they esteemed highly.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, while acknowledging the presence of the various assemblies, responded to the delegation’s condolences. “The passing of the late governor was a personal loss to me. Despite any political differences, our friendship remained unscathed. It was not anticipated that I would succeed in this manner, yet I had to step up to avoid a vacuum in leadership.”

Reflecting on the late Governor’s impact, Governor Aiyedatiwa continued, “Ondo State has lost a remarkable leader, a man who translated his words into tangible actions for the betterment of the state. His legacy earned him the nickname ‘Mr. Talk and Do’.”

He concluded by expressing gratitude for the visit, assuring the delegation that plans for the late Governor’s burial would be communicated in due course.

The visit, a blend of condolences and commendations, exemplified the unity and respect among Ondo State’s political circles during a time of transition and mourning for the departed leader.
