FRSC officials kidnapped in Osun

Two officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Osun state  have been  abducted by gunmen at Erin-Ijesa area of Akure/Ilesa highway.

The Hope Metro  gathered that the victims, simply identified as Abioye and Bayewuni were travelling when the armed bandits intercepted their vehicles.

It was also  learnt  that less than one hour the two officers were kidnapped, their mobile phones could not be reached as the lines had been switched off.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Folasade Odoro, who confirmed the kidnap said a police team was on the trail of the bandits, assuring that the victims would be rescued.

As at the  time of filing  this report, the State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Peter Oke, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
