The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned motorists, especially trailers and tankers drivers against indiscriminate parking on the Lagos/Benin expressway in Ore, Ondo State.

FRSC Unit Commander in Ore, Mr. Philip Ozonnandi  gave the warning in a chat with The Hope.

He said the Corps would no longer tolerate  illegal parking and other forms of indiscipline by motorists, especially tanker or trailer drivers.

The Commander said  majority of the tankers or trailer drivers  derive  joy in parking on the highways instead of their major parks, noting that illegal parking, apart from being against traffic rules, is dangerous.

He said a trailer or tanker is about 14 feet long  and as a result, many drivers find it difficult to see the front clearly, if improperly parked.

His words: “The command has noticed with dismay the manner at which tankers are indiscriminately parked by the road sides around Forte Oil Filling Station. This attitude is dangerous to road users and  unacceptable.
