FRSC warns against use of bad vehicles

Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC , Ikare Akoko Unit command has warned motorists and vehicle owners against putting rickety and malfunctioning vehicles on the road.
The command said it will not fail to deal with defaulters henceforth.
The command which spoke through its Acting Unit Commander, Kabir Muhmmed was reacting to the second accident which occured at the same spot at Oloko junction, Ikare Akoko a week after another one that took the lives of four people happened
It was another weekend of tragedy at Ikare Akoko the headquarters of Akoko north East local government when a Primeria car coming from Ogbagi side of Ado Ekiti-Ikare road lost control and killed one person injuring two others.
Eye witness account disclosed to The Hope Metro that the car was on high speed while descending the hill at Okorun area of Ikare and the driver was shouting of brake failure
The vehicle later knocked down two men on a motorcycle and another pedestrian.
The men of the FRSC Ikare unit were promptly at hand for rescue operation.
According to the unit head of operation and acting unit commander Mr Kabir Mohammed, one person lost his live while two others who were critically injured were rushed to the Ondo State Specialist hospital Ikare Akoko.
Mohammed attributed the cause of the accident to brake failure urging motorists to always see that vehicles are in good order before putting on the roads. He revealed that the vehicle driver survived the accident.
While commenting the Chief Medical Director of the State Specialist Hospital Ikare Akoko, Dr Ayodele Ogunlade confirmed the accident and disclosed that a corpse had been deposited at the mortuary while the two others with various degree of injuries are receiving treatment at the emergency unit of the Hospital.
