Last weekend was a moment of celebration for the family of Chief Olugbenga Ale, the Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor as his daughter, Oluwasola Christianah took the marital vow with her beloved, Omoniyi Oreoluwa.
The traditional ceremony held at the International Culture and Event Center (the Dome) had in attendance dignitaries and top government functionaries from within and outside the State.
In his address, the State deputy governor and the chairman of the occasion, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa charged the couple to always be committed to each other.
Aiyedatiwa who stressed that marriage is a journey filled with several hurdles, urged the couple to be committed towards making the marriage a success.
“Out of all ceremonies done in the family, marriage is significant because it has so much attachments to it.
“To the newly wed, there is nothing else to tell you because I know you would have heard a lot from your counselor during the course of your planning.
“I want you to understand that you have chosen yourself and decided to live with each other another out of many alternatives you had.
“I charge you to sustain this marriage with friendliness and love, it is a long journey with several miles to cover. There will be hurdles and every couple have millions of reasons to quit.
“When at crossroads, remember you made the decision to stay together and never allow circumstance(s) to put you apart. Wishing you a big congratulations from Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.”
Among dignitaries present at the ceremony were Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly; Mr Bamidele Oloyelogun, the State Head of Service; Pastor Kayode Ogundele, members of the state House of Assembly, state executive, Permanent Secretaries both within and outside the state, royal fathers among others.
Guests were later hosted at the same venue for the reception.
The couple appreciated the presence of all that graced the occasion and prayed for journey mercies as they travelled back to their various destinations.
