T he Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Saturday joined the family of Akin Olotu at the solemnization of holy matrimony between Olamide Akin-Olotu and Paul Williams.
Olamide is the daughter of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Akeredolu on Agric and Agribusines, Pastor Akin Olotu.
Also present at the wedding ceremony held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG Redemption Court, Ondo Province 4, Akure, are: Wife of the governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Members of Ondo State Executive Council, the Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye; the Ondo State Chairman of APC, Ade Adetimehin, and other top government functionaries.
The Officiating Minister, Pastor Dele Akinyan who spoke on “Partnering for Life” identified two pillars of marriage including love and submission.
While he urged the husband to love his wife, he called on the wife to be submissive to her husband and avoid unnecessary argument to sustain their marriage.
“Love is the ultimate and the greatest of all commandments, brother Paul, I urge you today to make love for your wife the priority in all you do.
“To you Olamide, submission is key if you want to make this marriage work, you must respect and be submissive to your husband.”
Pastor Akinyan equally admonished the husband to prevent third party in their home, just as he also advised the parents of the new couple to continue to support them in prayers and avoid unnecessary interference in the affairs of the new couple.
Expressing his joy, the father of the bride, Pastor Akin Olotu appreciated God Almighty for making the day a reality and thanked all present while he urged the new couple to abide by all the trainings and teachings they have received so far.
“I thank all present for today’s event especially, Mr governor and all members of the state executive that graced this occasion, much has been said today, I urge the couple to abide by all these teachings and I wish them a blissful live and a happy home.”
