Go for victory against Ekiti Queens, Commissioner charges Sunshine Queens

Ondo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye has charged Sunshine Queens to play with their heart and defeat Ekiti Queens in match day 13 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

The Commissioner stated this while addressing the officials and players of the team at their Oda camp, in Akure yesterday.

Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye said the match against Ekiti Queens is a must-win for the team, saying he will not accept any result short of victory.

He said: “This is my first official assignment as a second time Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Sports is my familiar terrain, I’m not a newcomer in this sector, I was here and I’m here again to effect positive change in all sports and not football alone, so I urge you to play with all your strength, be skillful, be aggressive against your opponent in the match and make sure you come  victorious. 

“I will be on ground with other stakeholders to cheer you to victory, no doubt you are not in a good position in the log, but all hands must be on deck to lift the team out of the precarious situation.”

He promised a cash prize for any goal scored, a clean sheet from the goalkeeper and a cash prize for the entire team.

“We are going to motivate you to become the best you are, we are going to support you, you are a great players and you are all champions,” he said.

While responding, the Team Manager of the club, Kenny Odogun thanked the commissioner for making the team his first point of call as he resumed work.
