A Nigerian gospel artiste, Evangelist Solape Akintunde, has revealed her passion for  undiluted music that focuses on preaching morals as well as the gospel to the world.

Akintunde, who has been singing as an artiste for more than two years said she started her music career as a chorister in her church where she developed  her gift till she attained her current position.

Akintunde who hails from Ondo city in Ondo State said that she gets the inspiration of music from the Holy Spirit, explaining that it gives her the meaning of what is happening around her and she would compose  songs from there.

According to her, singing since her youth has been of great help  to her career, saying she also received song ideas from other gospel artistes whenever she listens to their songs and the inspiration would come to compose songs.

She said that God has been faithful to her and the band since she has been singing.

Akintunde, an NCE graduate from College of Education, Ikere Ekiti in Ekiti States said she encountered some difficulties when she started singing but God has been able to sustain her till the moment.

“It was not easy when I started, I started going to churches where they had praise night, asking for minutes to minister, telling them that I can sing, because I have a big God in me that can do all things.

“God started promoting me from there, people began to call me to minister in their churches and since then God has been my source of inspiration.

“My ambition in music is to become a great gospel icon in life, win souls for God and reign with Jesus at the end of my race”, she submitted.

She urged every gospel artiste to stand on their feet preach morals in their albums and maintain their standard, saying if God has ordained them to sing a particular song and people did not buy or listen to it, they should not be discouraged.

She pleaded with them to keep on doing their business in the way of God, and make sure they compose their songs from the word of God, saying  with this mind set surely be  successful.

The Ondo-based gospel artiste has released one album that is selling well presently in the market and has a well packaged concert tagged ‘Praise him for his love’ to her credit.

The artiste said she loves praising God with all she has, and has seen the blessing of God whenever she praise him.
