Gov Adeleke distributes engineering tools, ICT software to colleges

The Osun State Government has advanced its transformative agenda by distributing instructional materials including modern engineering tools and ICT software to nine Government Technical Colleges across the state.

The event held at the Government Technical College in Osogbo marked a significant milestone in the Adeleke- led administration’s efforts in repositioning technical and vocational education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and economic empowerment.

The Secretary to the Osun State Government, High Chief Teslim Igbalaye, who was the guest of honour emphasised that the procurement and commissioning of these instructional materials represent a bold step toward equipping Osun’s youth with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

“Under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, Osun State is committed to empowering our young people to become self-reliant, creative, and productive citizens,”

“These instructional materials are not mere tools; they are enablers of dreams, catalysts for innovation, and bridges to a brighter future for our students and our state.” Igbalaye stated.

The newly commissioned resources are designed to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in Osun’s technical colleges, ensuring graduates are not only employable but also capable of creating jobs and driving economic progress.

The initiative aligns with the administration’s broader goal of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrial growth through technical education.

The SSG commended the Osun State Board for Technical and Vocational Education for its dedication to revitalising the state’s technical colleges. He also praised the principals, teachers, and staff for their tireless efforts in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals.

Addressing the students directly, he urged them to embrace their training with passion and strive for excellence in fields such as engineering, ICT, agriculture, and other vocational disciplines.

He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Adeleke for his unrelenting commitment to the development of the state, calling on all stakeholders to support the vision of building an innovative, prosperous, and inclusive Osun .
