Baring any hitch, Ondo State government will today begin rehabilitation of its township roads.

The road rehabilitation which would be executed by the state ministry of Works will take off in Ondo town and it is expected to take care of all failed portions and potholes in the suburb

The rehabilitation is a follow up to the promise made by Commissioner for Works, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye when he visited the town last month.

He had assured the people that the government would mobilise contractors to road sites in the town as soon as the rains subsided.

During the inspection then, he had paid visits to some areas that needed rehabilitation.

Some of the areas visited then were Okelisa, Akure/Ondo road and Valentino area on Ondo/Ife road.

The Commissioner also said every town in the state would be accommodated in the road transformation agenda of the state government.

Speaking on road rehabilitation across the state, he

described the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as an unbiased leader.

He stated that all the three Senatorial Districts of the state are going to benefit from the government infrastructure programme.

“Massive projects are going on in Ore, Akure and Akokoland, which spread across the entire state. This is a clear demonstration of exemplary leadership. The Governor promised to serve the people and he has been faithful to that vow.” he enthused.

Also, the Special Adviser on Works, Lands and Infrastructure, Engineer Raimi Aminu reiterating the commissioner’s words said construction of road projects across the state was being hampered by the elongated rainy season, adding that the works would resume soon as the rains are subsiding.
