Grassroots development: Sports Minister to train young Boxer

As part of the mandate of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development under the leadership Mr. Sunday Dare, grassroots sports remains at the forefront with the aim to discover new talents for the country.

The Minister who has always maintained the need to catch them young in order  to make for easy nurturing to stardom, has made it a duty to unveil talents. One of such is Sekina a young female boxer age seven. Another revelation of the Minister is fish a young swimmer.

More recently the ‘Chief Talent Hunter’  as he refers to himself, was moved by such a viral  video of a young talented boxer and said in a statement,

“Sequel to the viral video of a talented baby boy boxer on  social media , I would be putting the baby in a boxing academy for further growth and also sponsor his education. Some financial stipends would be given for the upkeep of the lad as well.”

The young boxer five year old Ayomide Adeyemo, will without a doubt be a future Olympian if all goes well and with the talent he has displayed at such a young age, with his father as his trainer who trains the young boxer after school at their residence in Paruwa area of Lagos State.
