The second term ambition of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has got a boost as a group, Aketi One to One Support Group affirmed their support for the governor’s reelection bid.
The group which is under the auspices of Otunba Mayokun Lawson Alade, a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Akure South local government noted that Governor Akeredolu in the last four years had done excellently well by industrialising the state.
He said, “The state is fast developing at all fronts and there is the need to continue the excellent projects of the present administration for the good people of the state.
“Akure people are united for Akeredolu victory in the fourth coming election because Akure as a own has benefited greatly from his administration; we have a larger representation of Akure in the cabinet which is the first of its kind since 1976”.he stressed.
Alade explained that the group which cut across the eighteen local council areas in the state support the second term bid of Akeredolu because of his visionary leadership skill and giant stride in infrastructural developments like roads, industrialisation which create jobs and education for the teeming people of the state.
The group noted with utmost satisfaction the sincerity of purpose of Akeredolu in governance as exemplified in life changing projects across the state especially in Akure the state capital.
“The governor has been tested by the people of this state and the people trust him. Regardless of party lines, Akeredolu has impressed people in terms of excellent performance and that is why leaders of opposition parties from PDP, ZLP among others recently declare their support for the governor.
“The laudable achievements of the governor speak volume so every residents of Ondo State must understand that we cannot go back to perilous days but move forward with progressive leadership that meant well for the people”, he stressed.
The former House of Representative candidate of APC in Akure who said the party is united against all enemies, urged members to work hard for the victory of the governor at the polls.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the group for Akeredolu reelection to complete the good projects he started, assuring the governor that Akure South would deliver nothing less than 500 thousand votes for him in the October 10 governorship election.
