Group lauds infrastructural strides

A group, Private Sector Drive for Good Governance, has applauded the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for bridging the wide infrastructural gaps in the critical sectors of the economy in the state.

The leader of the group, Mr. Akin Bakare, who led other members on a courtesy visit to the governor in his office noted that the governor has performed beyond the expectations of the people of the state since he assumed office.

Bakare who noted that their members cut across different artisans groups across the state said the group would partner the governor to further drive small scale businesses in the state to improve the economy.

He informed the governor that though the group was apolitical, they were always ready to mobilise and garner massive support for the governor’s re-election, because of his outstanding achievements, so that the good works being witnessed across the state could continue beyond 2021.

The group specifically lauded the achievements of the present Akeredolu led- administration in the areas of roads construction and rehabilitations including Ore flyover, building and renovation of schools, purchase of medical equipment for quality healthcare delivery and improved welfare of workers, among others.

Welcoming the group, the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, revealed that he is committed to good governance in the state because of his belief that the people deserve it as their right. He promised to partner the group in his quest to redefine governance in the state.

Akeredolu added that the present administration sees it as a responsibility to provide necessary infrastructure to better the lives of the citizenry and improve the socio-economic situation,  saying that his administration would not relent in its efforts aimed at providing enabling environment for investments to thrive in the state.

“I have always argued that the people of this state deserve good governance. So, whatever they get is not dividends but their right,” the governor stressed.

Akeredolu equally called on the Federal Government to increase allocations to the states to enable them do more for the people who elected them into the office.

He said his administration would continue to construct more roads, build and renovate schools and embark on other projects that would transform the economy of the state and ensure the well-being of the people.
